Six Illustrated Lectures by Alice Foster M.A.
The Modern Movement is generally accepted as the period from c1880-1940. This was a time of upheaval, social change and devastating world wars. Modern art has been told in terms of men and women who pursued a dialogue about the meaning of expressing a sense of place, time and individuality. Movements covered will include Belgian Symbolism, Futurism, Bloomsbury, The Call to Order, Surrealism, and Abstraction.
