Workers' Educational Association (WEA)

Courses held at various local venues

Start a course with WEA : The WEA is a national charity committed to providing vocational and leisure interest courses. There’s a thriving branch in Ledbury.

We’re not like other adult education providers in the West Midlands – we don’t have large colleges and we don’t have over-crowded classrooms; instead you will find our small classes taking place in your local meeting places. You will find us in libraries and community centres, places of worship, cafes and even the odd pub, we bring the education to you.

Local people plan courses through our volunteer-led branches and partner with local community organisations who represent the varied needs of people in the West Midlands – including migrant organisations; Housing Associations; children’s centres and schools; health and welfare organisations, women’s centres, sports groups, life-long Midlanders and those who have come to call our region home.

Our courses are as varied as the people of the West Midlands. We offer courses to improve your health and well-being; courses to support employability; courses to feed your creative juices; courses to feed your curious mind and courses to improve the English Language Skills of our diverse residences.  So whether you want to learn to sew in Stoke or history in Hereford, we really do have a course for you.

Details and booking are available on our website and search for Ledbury courses, or pick up a brochure from Ledbury Library, Ledbury News, both of Ledbury's bookshops.
