A Fistful of Spookies come to Colwall Village Hall
06 December 2025
A Fistful of Spookies come to Colwall Village Hall on Saturday 6th December.
The à cappella group are professional singers and choir-leaders from across the UK who have all toured with festival hits The Spooky Men’s Chorale (Australia) and have enough voices to recreate the complete Spooky canon of beautiful and wonderfully daft songs. For newcomers to the Spooky phenomenon, they have redefined the whole notion of male singing, from anthems extolling the virtues of power tools and the joys of doing nothing (at all) to ancient Icelandic hymns, Georgian work songs and a Ukrainian marching song. There are also covers of Abba and Bowie, mesmerising stylings of Dolly, Tina, Taylor and Queen, with their defiant assertion that they are definitely not a men’s group.
Mark Radcliffe from The Folk Show on BBC Radio 2 has described their performances as ‘spectacular singing’, while Mike Harding says they are ‘one of the funniest bands ever – still chuckling!’
The performance at Colwall Village Hall starts at 7.30pm, there’s free parking and a bar. For more information and tickets, call (01684) 540366.
