Children can enjoy getting to know an array of farmyard animals and the ‘Field to Fork’ theme means that there are lots of opportunities to learn more about where food comes from, including Ask the Farmer sessions with BBC Countryfile presenter Adam Henson as well as hands-on cookery sessions.
There are plenty of other indoor and outdoor activities that everyone can take part in. Budding creatives can unleash their arty side with a variety of craft activities, intrepid explorers can discover their inner wild child in the outdoor activity zone, which will host a fun-filled programme of bushcraft skills, den building and much more. The many have-a-go sporting activities on offer will help children burn off some energy and provide the opportunity to try new sports. Families can also ride in a dray pulled by beautiful heavy horses or in a trailer pulled by a tractor, and children can even have a ride on a ‘unicorn’!
