A programme of classical favourites featuring Beethoven’s Symphony No.2 and Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto with the Orchestra’s own principal clarinet, Alison Lambert, as soloist.
There will also be a chance to hear the romantic string Serenade by Hans Gal; a composer championed by the ESO after a long period of neglect.
The concert is to be conducted by Joe Davies, who’s recent success leading the Elgar Festival’s Conducting Masterclass, amongst other engagements around the UK, has led to his appointment as ESO assistant conductor.
Founded in 1980, recognised as the International Orchestra of Elgar Country and supported by Arts Council England, the Worcestershire-based ESO has become synonymous with artistic excellence, innovative and visionary programming.
Tickets available online and at the door and priced between £26 and £36, including booking fee, with under-18s gaining admittance for just £5. Visit the website for further details: malvern-theatres.co.uk
