Malvern Hills Gardening Club holds its Annual Show on Saturday 16th August at Malvern Evangelical Church on Pickersleigh Road.
The morning is for setting up and judging, with the afternoon between 2pm and 3pm for viewing and refreshments.
On 24th September, the club holds its regular fourth Wednesday of the month meeting, when Alan Hensley takes members through all aspects of growing Ginger relatives in UK gardens. Starting at 7.30pm, as well as the talk there will be a sale of members’ plants, competitions and refreshments.
Malvern Hills Gardening Club has had a busy year celebrating its 175th anniversary. At the end of June, members enjoyed a tour of Madresfield Court’s house and garden, led by the Head Gardener and President of the club, David Butt. It was a fitting visit, as the then-owner Earl Beauchamp sent flowers and plants for the club’s first show in 1850.
