Malvern Rocks 2025
01 August 2025 to 03 August 2025
A local music festival returns to Malvern at the start of August. Malvern Rocks began in 2012 and has grown steadily ever since. Ralph Tittley is one of the organisers and tells us more.
This year we have 101 gigs across 14 or 15 stages, over the weekend between Friday 1st and Sunday 3rd August. We aim to make Malvern Rocks successful for everyone, bringing punters into local venues, giving audiences free entertainment, and paying all performers a modest fee.
Although our budget is small, we make the money go a long way! That is partly thanks to the generosity of many people, from those who host bands, to the bands themselves who sometimes travel from afar.
Venues this year include several in the town centre and outlying pubs including The Three Horseshoes at Poolbrook, The Express Inn and The Morgan. This year we extend as far as The Royal Oak in Leigh Sinton and The Red Lion in Cradley.
There will be music in Priory Park with Do It Again Dan, who play from the Steely Dan songbook, jazz from Interplay, as well as Capas and the Rainmakers from Worcester.
The pleasure of Malvern Rocks is we cover almost any genre of popular music you can think off. This year, at one end of the scale there will be rock from Aonach, while The Silhouettes do their own take on sixties pop and are similar in style to The Shadows. It means audiences can find something to suit them, whether that’s punk, funk, jazz, or something heavier!
Things begin on the evening of Friday 1st August, on the Saturday the focus is Priory Park, while on Sunday we have five venues hosting music, including Belle Vue Island in the centre of town.
You will find more details, including full schedules of who is playing, when and where, on our website, malvern.rocks
