The Mayor's Peak Challenge 2024

04 May 2024

There are two different lengths of walk. For those who like a challenge, the end-to-end walk of 18 kilometres takes in the seventeen peaks of the Malvern Hills, taking an expected six to eight hours. Registration is at 8am in Priory Park, before coaches leave at 8.30am to take walkers to the starting point on the Bromesberrow Estate.

The short walk of 9 kilometres takes in the main section of the Hills, including The Worcestershire Beacon, taking between three and five hours. Registration for this walk is in Priory Park from 10.15am and a shuttle bus will take walkers to the start at the British Camp.

All entrants receive an event T Shirt and will be presented with a finishers medal. Walkers are encouraged to bring their four-legged friends along, as well-behaved dogs are welcome and will be presented with a rosette at the finish. The Peaks Challenge is sponsored by Vertu Motors with dog rosettes and treats supplied by Austin & Co.

Entry for the long walk is £22 and the short walk £17, with the money supporting the Mayor’s charity St Richard’s Hospice, with a £2 contribution to the conservation and preservation of the Malvern Hills. Entrants are also being encouraged to raise sponsorship money.
